L<\/span>a Vie de Mahomet raconte la vie l\u00e9gendaire de Mahomet. N\u00e9 en l\u2019an 570 de notre \u00e8re dans la ville arabique de La Mecque, Mahomet devint orphelin tr\u00e8s jeune. Il fut \u00e9lev\u00e9 par son oncle paternel, Abu Talib. \u00c0 la fin de son enfance, Mahomet travailla tout d\u2019abord comme marchand.<\/p>\n

De temps \u00e0 autre, Mahomet se retirait dans une grotte situ\u00e9e dans les montagnes, durant plusieurs nuits d\u2019isolement et de pri\u00e8re. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 40 ans, Mahomet d\u00e9clara qu\u2019il avait re\u00e7u la visite de l\u2019ange Gabriel et qu\u2019il avait \u00e9galement re\u00e7u sa premi\u00e8re r\u00e9v\u00e9lation de Dieu. Trois ans apr\u00e8s, Mahomet commen\u00e7a \u00e0 pr\u00eacher ses r\u00e9v\u00e9lations publiquement, proclamant qu\u2019il \u00e9tait le proph\u00e8te et le messager de Dieu\u2026<\/p>\n
